Netflix India has announced a brand new original project titled, ‘Monica, O My Darling’. The film stars Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte, Huma Qureshi, Sikander Kher, and Zayn Marie Khan, among others.
The streamer has released an announcement video confirming the inception of filming, and while there are no further details available, Netflix has released cast stills on Twitter.
The project will be helmed by Vasan Bala who recently directed Harshvardhan Kapoor and Radhika Madan led ‘Spotlight’ for Netflix’s Ray.
While Apte is a Netflix veteran — starring in titles like ‘Lust Stories’, ‘Ghoul‘, ‘Sacred Games‘, and ‘Raat Akeli Hai‘, Qureshi, too, has formerly been a part of two big projects for the streamer with ‘Leila‘ and Zack Snyder’s ‘Army of the Dead‘.
Furthermore, while Rao has also collaborated with Netflix in ‘The White Tiger‘ and ‘Ludo‘, for Sikander Kher — who was last seen in Disney+ Hotstar’s ‘Aarya‘ — this will be the first involvement with the digital platform.
