Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Chhalaang’ to release on Amazon Prime Video

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta’s latest film ‘Chhalaang’, starring Rajkummar Rao, has opted for a digital release on streaming platform Amazon Prime Video.

‘Chhalaang’ is the story of a physical training instructor in a small-town school in Haryana. Initially, he is not serious about his job but one incident changes his outlook and prompts him to look at sports and education as they are, hand-in-hand sharing the same set of values.

The story of Rao’s empowerment about sports and education was initially named Turram Khan, but later, the makers decided to change it to ‘Chhalaang’. Nushrratt Bharuccha is paired opposite to Rao in this film.

Written by Aseem Arora, the film has been primarily produced by Luv Ranjan and Anuj Garg of Luv Films. However, they also have partnered with Studio T-series and Ajay Devgn for this venture.

Mehta and Rao had paired up earlier for Mehta’s autobiographical crime drama, Omerta, which released on ZEE5 recently. Omerta has received a lot of positive reactions from its audience, it’ll be interesting whether ‘Chhalaang’ will also follow suit or not.
