Young Sheldon set to stream on HBO Max

HBO Max has acquired streaming rights for Young Sheldon – the show that was created as a spinoff on the life of The Big Bang Theory‘s Sheldon Cooper.

Starring Iain Armitage as the young Sheldon Cooper, the series revolves around his experiences and family life as a kid. The show kind of serves as a prequel to his life in The Big Bang Theory.

The show currently airs on CBS every Thursday.

Young Sheldon is created by Steven Molaro and Chuck Lorre. Lorre is the man behind hit shows like Two and a Half Men, Mom and The Big Bang Theory.

Speaking about the streaming acquisition of the show Molaro and Lorre stated:

We are so pleased that Young Sheldon will once again be reunited with his future self on HBO Max, and we are excited for fans, new and old, to be able to binge both The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon for the first time.

The news of Young Sheldon‘s acquisition comes after that of HBO Max acquiring The Big Bang Theory in a deal that reportedly cost a whopping $600 million.
