Streaming giant Netflix has teamed up with 21 Laps to bring to the audience a new Vampire action thriller titled, ‘Uprising’.
The movie will be directed by ace director Travis Knight who has also helmed ‘Bumblebee’.
The film is based on Raymond Villareal’s book ‘A People’s History of the Vampire Uprising’. The narrative describes a time where a global viral outbreak turns people into the blood-thirsty monsters.
It follows the journey of CIA agent, Lauren Webb, who has made it a mission to find the cause behind the outbreak which is proving to be a threat to humanity.
As part of their overall deal with Netflix, Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen (Stranger Things) are producing the film for 21 Laps. Jay Basu, JD Payne, Patrick McKay, and Jeremy Slater have contributed to the scriptwriting. It stars Hailee Steinfeld as the CIA Agent, Charlie.
