Farzaan: Dil Dosti Dilemma character explained

Farzaan, a man of humble origins, is Asmara’s love interest in Dil Dosti Dilemma. Kush Jotwani plays Farzaan.

When Asmara is sent to live with her grandparents, she meets their neighbor Farzaan, who owns a clothing store in the area.

Initially, Asmara does not get along with Farzaan, but over time, he wins her over, leading to the start of their friendship and eventual romantic relationship.

The beginning of Farzaan and Asmara’s relationship

As Farzaan has a home and a shop on Tibbri Road, he stands with Asmara’s grandfather, who is against the redevelopment project.

When Farzaan’s father passed away, he left his family in debt, making it Farzaan’s responsibility to pay off all the debts.

Farzaan is close to Asmara’s grandparents; he respects them and helps them whenever he can.

When Asmara refuses to listen to them, he helps her understand their perspective and convinces her to respect their culture.

It does not take him long to become Asmara’s friend. He supports her in times of need, and their bond grows into mutual affection.

However, Asmara ends their budding relationship before it really begins because she finds it difficult to believe that someone could like her after being rejected by her first crush.

Asmara lies to Farzaan about liking a boy named Nikhil, which hurts Farzaan’s feelings, causing him to distance himself from Asmara.

Asmara eventually confesses the truth to Farzaan, who forgives her readily. They begin dating then.

Supporting Rukhsana

While Farzaan loves his younger sister, Rukhsana, he fails to see what she wants in life and never notices how talented she is.

It is Asmara who takes note of her talent and pushes her to start her own business. Asmara also encourages Rukhsana to ask for Farzaan’s help, which he gladly provides.

Farzaan also fails to notice that Rukhsana is in love with Suhail. However, he does notice that the Corporator’s son likes Rukhsana.

In an attempt to end the feud between his grandmother and Farha’s grandmother, Farzaan tells his grandmother about the Corporator’s son’s interest in Rukhsana.

This leads to Farzaan’s family arranging Rukhsana’s marriage without consulting her. Once again, Asmara stands up for Rukhsana, which Farzaan fails to do.

It is only then that Farzaan realizes Rukhsana’s feelings for Suhail. He apologizes to Asmara and decides to help his sister.

Once Rukhsana gets a job, Farzaan, along with Asmara, encourages her to run away to Mumbai with Suhail for the sake of her happiness.

Farzaan intends to focus on his own happiness with Asmara, but the unexpected return of his first love may complicate matters.
