Marriages are said to be sacred oaths of love and commitment, but that’s not always the case. Flipkart Video’s short film ‘Sleeping Partner’ is a portrayal of how marriages can go drastically wrong.
The trailer shows Sharad (Sanjay Kapoor), a businessman who thinks lowly of his wife Beena (Divya Dutta). He even ironically introduces her to his office colleague as a ‘sleeping partner’ in the business, a clever reference to how he treats her.
Their marriage has hit rock bottom, with Sharad only using her as a means for sexual pleasure, without even bothering to get consent. Beena, on the other hand, finds love in a younger man and finally decides to revolt against marital rape.

Directed by Punarvasu Naik, the short film is a part of Flipkart’s project titled Zindagi inShort; a compilation of seven love stories. The anthology has been produced by Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment.
Zindagi inShort will begin streaming from 19th February.
