In The Crown, Kelly Fisher is the American model Dodi is engaged to. Their relationship becomes sour the moment Dodi starts spending time with Diana, whom he dates later.
In the first part of The Crown season 6, Dodi had plans to marry his fiancée, Kelly Fisher, before falling in love with Diana. Dodi’s father, Mohamed Al-Fayed, never approved of Kelly.
Instead, Al-Fayed wanted Dodi to fall in love with Diana. He invites Dodi for a vacation with Diana and leaves him with her and her kids. A jealous Kelly, who refers to Diana as the world’s most beautiful woman, also joins them on vacation later but is forced to stay on a different yacht.
Dodi visits Kelly at night while he spends his day with Diana and her kids. Even though Dodi is not a fan of his father’s idea of him marrying Diana, he and Diana click over the relationship they share with their fathers, and Dodi pursues a relationship with Diana despite being engaged to Kelly.
Where is Kelly Fisher now?
The Crown doesn’t dive deep into Kelly’s side of the story once Dodi and Diana’s affair comes to light. When Dodi and Diana’s pictures of kissing show up in tabloids, Kelly holds a press conference in Beverly Hills and sues Dodi for breach of marital contract.
Kelly had claimed that Dodi promised her $500,000 to spend less time modeling, but she had received only $60,000 of it.
Fisher withdrew her lawsuit after Dodi and Diana’s deaths out of respect for the tragedy and tremendous loss the Fayed family suffered.
Kelly forgave Dodi for all of his past injustices and disappeared from the limelight after that. She did become part of the inquest into Diana’s death. Kelly is now married to a Russian-born pilot, Mikhail Movshina, and they have a daughter together.
