Plot summary

In 2004, at a porn exhibition in Paris, Rocco Siffredi announces his retirement from the business after seeing his half-brother, Tommaso, in the crowd. It is said that Tommaso died after jumping into a river, but he still haunts Rocco.

In Ortona, 1974, Rocco Tano grows up admiring his half-brother, Tommaso, who was Rocco’s mentor. Unlike Rocco’s other elder brothers, Tommaso provides for their family the most.

Rocco believes Tommaso has everything. Most importantly, he is dating Lucia, the most beautiful girl in their town.

Rocco’s mother, Carmela, may not be there for Rocco, but Tommaso is there for him. After losing his brother, Claudio, Rocco, suffering from grief, discovers the Supersex magazine, which gives him a superpower of his own.

Rocco’s obsession with sex begins and grows. Eventually, Tommaso catches Rocco with the Supersex magazine.

Tommaso tells Rocco that people like them need the world’s most beautiful women and to stop being poor.

However, the brothers fall apart when Rocco informs Tommaso that he saw Lucia with someone else. Tommaso is not able to handle the truth and pours out his frustration on his family.

Tommaso doesn’t take the advice of his family and continues to pursue Lucia. Tommaso marries Lucia. However, no one from his family attends the wedding.

Years later, a grown-up Rocco visits Paris to reunite with Tommaso, who would train Rocco to live his way.

Rocco ends up doing the opposite of everything that Tommaso teaches him when he gets involved with multiple women and finds himself working at a sex club.

One night, Mr. Supersex, Gabriel Pontello, visits the club and takes note of Rocco’s talents when it comes to intimacy. Rocco starts working for Pontello, featuring in his photoshoots and videos.

Meanwhile, Rocco’s betrayal hurts Tommaso. He is home less often. Lucia is now pregnant, and when she is sick, it’s Rocco who comforts her, something that Tommaso doesn’t appreciate.

What’s worse is that Lucia has been seeing other people and making out for money. She claims that Tomasso is the one sending her out to make money.

Rocco sees how Tommaso is falling apart, but when Lucia calls their relationship love, he doesn’t comment. Lucia thinks that when Tommaso will become a father, things will improve.

Rocco’s career continues to reach new heights as he is introduced to Riccardo, a director from Italy’s biggest porn star agency.

Rocco becomes popular and is called Rocco Siffredi, but his family faces backlash for his work back home.

While his family doesn’t welcome him with open arms, his cousin, Gabriele, also known as Gabri, is happy to meet him. He is even eager to join Rocco’s business.

After failing to live by Riccardo’s rules, Rocco decides to work independently, with Gabri serving as his manager.

Meanwhile, Tommaso and Lucia celebrate the arrival of their baby boy. However, Tommaso falls into the dilemma of whether this baby is his or not.

Lucia points out that the baby looks like him; it’s just him who is refraining from seeing it that way. When Lucia finds Tommaso with the baby at the edge of their building’s terrace, she takes the baby from him and ends their relationship.

Rocco, on the other hand, falls in love with a woman named Tina and gets her pregnant. He is not able to handle this relationship well.

Tina comes to realize that he doesn’t care about their baby; he only cares about sleeping and emptying himself, which results in the end of their relationship.

Ending explained:

Rocco’s success and Tommaso’s end

Rocco returns to work, with his next stop being America. He only comes back home after learning that his mother is dying.

Tommaso has not been doing well by himself, but he comes back home too to open a cafe of his own after asking a friend of his, Jean Claude, who used to visit the hotel Tommaso worked at and now owns, for money.

Tommaso is adamant about not meeting Carmela. He wants his bedridden mother to call him.

When Carmela passes away, Tommaso and even Lucia and her son come to attend the funeral. Tommaso gets a chance to meet his family again.

Moving on, Rocco’s film is nominated for the Oscars for porn films, Hot d’Or. Rocco’s father and brothers attend the event to celebrate his success.

Tommaso doesn’t attend the event. At his cafe, he gets into a fight with some locals, who burn his cafe down.

Does Tommaso kill himself?

After his cafe burned down, everyone said Tommaso jumped into a river and killed himself. However, in 2004, Rocco sees the ghost of his brother.

He eventually meets Tommaso and realizes that he’s not a ghost. Tommaso has returned with a gun. He plans to attend Lucia’s wedding to Jean Claude later.

Tommaso and Rocco reform the bond they once used to have. Tommaso goes to the wedding intending to use the gun, but he fails to muster up the courage.

Rocco comforts his brother. He sees how love has destroyed his brother. After putting his brother to sleep, Rocco leaves. A gunshot suggests that Tommaso may have killed himself.

Rocco’s return to business

After winning an award for a film, Rocco finds himself attracted to a background model named Rosa, whom he casts in a film.

She points out that Rocco only knows how to sleep with women and not how to make love to them. Knowing that he is someone who only loves to sleep with women, Rocco ends his relationship with Rosa.

However, after watching and comforting his brother, Rocco gathers the courage to become a man. He says that every boy has that power, but this power only exists in the eyes of another.

He reunites with Rosa, and they rekindle their relationship, planning to turn it into something serious by having a baby.

If that’s not enough, Rocco also informs Gabri that he is joining them and possibly not retiring anytime soon.
