In Prom Dates, Jacob is Hannah’s brother and one of Jess’s love interests. JT Neal plays Jacob.
Jacob is mostly away from his family and is visiting them in the film. Jess is especially stunned to see him because the last time Jess and Hannah visited him, Jess and Jacob slept together.
Jess and Jacob agreed to keep this a secret from Hannah, who finds out about it from Jess later in the film. Things are awkward between Jess and Jacob because Jess is now dating Luca.
Jacob claims that he got a job at an Italian place near their house, so he is going to be in town until August.
Making friends with Greg
While Jess and Hannah are busy finding themselves dates for the prom, Jacob finds himself with Greg, who has recently been dumped by Hannah.
Jacob comforts a heartbroken Greg and is a good friend to him. However, even Jacob knows that his sister is not into men.
Jacob hears that Greg can’t be alone. He understands and invites Greg to a concert with him, where more chaos ensues.
While Jacob and Greg become good friends, Greg leaves to find Hannah the moment he learns that she is here.
Jacob, on the other hand, finds himself confronting Luca, who is forcing Jess to become his girlfriend again. Jacob is hit in the face by Luca. Hannah shows up in time to interrupt their fight.
Jacob’s fate
After a fallout with Hannah, Jess goes to prom with Luca, but she misses her best friend. Hence, she steals Luca’s car to go and pick Hannah up.
Hannah is not home, but Jacob is. Jess and Jacob indulge in a heart-to-heart conversation in which the two confess their feelings to each other.
However, Jess isn’t ready to date right away. Jess has come to realize that she needs to focus on herself and find the right reasons to date someone.
Hannah doesn’t expect Jacob to wait for her, but she lets him know that he will be the first person she calls once she is ready to date again. The two kiss before Jess leaves to look for Hannah at prom.
