Hwang Geum-Ju is one the main characters in comedy Kdrama, Strong Girl Nam-Soon. Kim Jung-Eun plays the character on the show.
Hwang Geum-Ju is the owner of a big business. Her empire stands tall and so does she, but her tough exterior houses a soft and kind heart that’s open to help others at the drop of a hat.
As she tries to bring about a meaningful change in the world, she also tries to find out where her missing daughter, the apple of her eye, has gone to, pouring great time, effort, and money into it.
The desperate search
Hwang Geum-Ju has everything. However, the thing she wants most is to be able to reunite with her long lost daughter, Nam-Soon.
After the little girl went missing in Mongolia during a trip with dad, she has not been found since, even with all the money that Geum-Ju poured into the missing posters, even buying a newspaper publication to publish about Nam-Soon.
She also hosts an international competition for world’s strongest women, in the hopes of one day meeting Nam-Soon, who she correctly believes to be a super strong woman just like her.
Beyond ordinary
Hwang Geum-Ju posseses super strength, like her daughter Nam-Soon and her mother. Coming from a family where all women tend to have super strength, Geum-Ju has put her powers to good use a lot of times.
Meanwhile, she’s also extraordinary in different regards as well. She is a vigilante by the night and gears up to fight crime as well, all of which she began doing at first to collect good karma, so that it could potentially help her daughter.
A quest for the world
Now that Korea has been hit by drugs after a long time of none of that plaguing the country, Hwang Geum-Ju has decided to expand her vigilante stuff to full-blown plans to bring about a grand change.
She wants everyone to have money and be stable, rich, and happy. In a capitalistic world, her dreams are very noble, but they’re also what many scoff at for being so ridiculous.
However, Hwang Geum-Ju doesn’t share the same opinion. She believes and deems it necessary that she brings some real change in the world.
