Plot summary

Ivan is running an illegal and independent van transportation business to make money. People who can’t afford to travel by bus hop on Ivan’s van, and he takes them through the city.

However, his illegal business is hurting the likes of Bus Coroa, an official bus transportation business.

Businesses like Bus Coroa are now forced to close their doors because people are relying more on illicit and cheap transportation businesses like Ivan’s.

Ivan’s ex-wife, Sandra, works as a driver for Bus Coroa. She doesn’t want to lose her job, and to secure the same, she reports Ivan’s business.

Sandra instantly regrets her decision when she learns that Ivan has gifted their son, Ivandro, a motorbike and a job at a motorbike company that is another illicit business.

What’s worse is that Ivan’s van is under Sandra’s name. Luck is in the family’s favor, as Ivandro reveals that the owner of Bus Coroa, Mr. Amaral, is the owner of his motor taxi company.

Knowing that Mr. Amaral owns a few illegal businesses himself gives the family leverage. They force Amaral on television to make connections with his friends at city hall and allow businesses like Ivan’s to receive permits.

Sandra and Ivan somehow fix this problem together, but they are far from fixing their marriage. Sandra is dating Robson, a colleague of hers, and she could be divorcing Ivan soon.

Ivan, on the other hand, makes things worse for himself by trying to solve his problems by costing Sandra one thing or another.

First, Ivan raffles her air conditioner just so that he can buy a radiator for his van. Then he ruins her 10th work anniversary, forcing her to sell her fridge by the end of the day.

Ivan next becomes an obstacle when she tries to sell their house. He regrets sending away all the potential customers the moment he learns that she may sell his van if she is not able to sell their house.

Sérgio, one of the customers who was sent away by Ivan, agrees to buy the house. However, he sets some conditions this time by having Ivan pay for certain things.

Ivan’s van, Vanilse, is saved, but with the house gone, he is left homeless. Ivan moves on with a woman named Jerusa.

Problems keep coming Ivan’s way as some construction workers dig a hole in his parking place. In an attempt to fix his problems, Ivan causes discomfort to others by filling that hole.

Sandra finally gets sick of Ivan’s antics when he forgets about his son’s employee of the month party.

He ends up ruining that party too by accidentally having his intimate pictures displayed on a slideshow—pictures he was supposed to send to Jerusa, who parts ways with him following this event.

Done with Ivan’s antics, Sandra decides to file for a divorce.

Ending explained:

Enters Ivandro’s girlfriend

Ivan and Sandra’s son, Ivandro, brings a surprise for his family. He is engaged to his girlfriend, Juliana, also known as Ju, now.

Throughout the show, Ivandro talked to Ju on video calls. He pretended that he and his family were rich and that he was traveling all the time.

Now, he needs his family to act as if they are rich so that he can marry Ju, whose father has bought a new place for her.

The place could be so big that a homeless Ivan can easily find a corner to sleep in.

The bankruptcy pushes Sandra

Sandra is ready to help her son, but she criticizes Ivan for trying to find a corner at his son’s house.

That is until she learns that Bus Coroa is going bankrupt and that she might be homeless too.

Sandra’s job and the company can be saved only if the board members can sell Bus Coroa to the entrepreneur who is interested in buying it.

The twist is that the entrepreneur is none other than Ju’s father. The bankruptcy becomes a blessing in disguise.

The family comes together

The big catch in putting on an act in front of Ju’s family is that Ivandro has lied that he is rich and his father owns 15 vans.

No matter what, Ivandro doesn’t want Ju’s parents to think that he is scamming their daughter because, though he has lied, he genuinely loves her.

The last and most important part is that Ivan and Sandra will have to pretend to be together because Ivandro has lied about their separation too.

The fate of Ivan, Sandra, and Ivandro

Ivan, Sandra, and Ivandro successfully pull off this act. However, their meeting with Ju’s parents isn’t without obstacles.

Sandra’s lawyer comes to finalize the divorce, and then Sérgio shows up, complaining that Ivan hasn’t paid the property tax.

Sandra is done lying. She decides to confess the truth to Ju and her family. Ju’s family isn’t disappointed because even Ju’s father pulled off such a move to win his wife’s hand.

However, Ju’s parents are not able to accept that Sandra and Ivan are divorced and that they have been separated for a while.

Sandra is determined to divorce Ivan. Ivan dreams that Sandra won’t make such a big move. He puts in some effort to convince Sandra.

Listening to the song from their wedding brings the couple together, giving the entire family a happy ending.
