In the final moments of the sixth episode of Sugar, John Sugar shows his true form, which is anything but human.
John Sugar spends the majority of the sixth episode injured after an encounter with Byron Stallings, in which he learns that his organization has been protecting Stallings.
Even though Melanie insists on going to the hospital to treat his injuries, Sugar is strictly against it and rather gets his friend, Henry Thorpe, to come over and treat him.
After realizing he can’t trust Ruby or anyone from his organization, Sugar goes back to his and Melanie’s hotel room to inject himself and reveal his true form.
An alien organization infiltrating Earth
In the seventh episode, it becomes clear that not just Sugar but the entire Cosmopolitan Polyglot Society is comprised of aliens that have infiltrated Earth.
They have all been assigned individual missions and are here only to observe. Their sole reason for being here is to preserve their peaceful way of life.
However, lately, they have been crossing lines by kidnapping and murdering people, which is something that they don’t do.
Sugar thinks this place has been changing them all. Later in the episode, Henry agrees that the longer they stay here, the more human they become.
Blackmailing the aliens
After walking into a Cosmopolitan Polyglot Society meeting, Sugar learns that they have been asked to leave the planet and go back home, but Sugar isn’t willing to give up on Olivia; he is not going without her.
After talking to his friend, Henry, Sugar learns that someone influential knows that they are all aliens. They are being blackmailed because they can exterminate them anytime they want.
This person, who is blackmailing them, is the son of a politician and a client of Stallings. This is how he got to Olivia.
Henry doesn’t know how this man learned about them, but he thinks it doesn’t matter anymore.
At the end of the seventh episode, Sugar breaks into this politician’s house and comes face-to-face with Ryan, the son of the politician.
Sugar complicates things as Ryan kills himself during their struggle, but Sugar does seem to find Olivia in Ryan’s basement.
