In Prom Dates, Luca is the boy Jess is dating just to go with him to the prom. Jordan Buhat plays Luca.
Luca is the soccer team captain and comes from a wealthy family. Since he is popular, Jess is dating him, intending to take him to the prom.
However, Luca doesn’t treat Jess right. Jess has been trying to meet Luca’s parents for a while, but he won’t let her meet them.
Jess, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to be 100% in this relationship either. She is hesitant to make out with him. Things between Jess and Luca go bad when Jess walks in on Luca making out with another girl.
Reentering the picture
Luca claims that he barely even knows the girl he is with, Janine, who reminds Luca that he is the one who texted him.
After breaking up with Luca, Jess goes looking for someone else to take on prom. The prom is tomorrow, and Jess needs someone just as or more popular than Luca.
Not long after, Luca calls Jess, intending to get back together with her after seeing a picture of her with another guy.
Even after everything Luca has done, Jess thinks about giving him another chance just because she wants someone to go to prom with her.
The final break-up
Jess picks up Luca’s call over solving the argument she is having with her best friend, Hannah, and that ruins her friendship with Hannah.
Jess goes to prom with Luca, but she feels lonely without her best friend, leading her to steal Luca’s car to find her.
Jess finds Hannah at prom. When Hannah is coming out to everyone and apologizing to Greg, Luca is making fun of her.
Luca and Hannah didn’t share a great relationship during the entire film. They kept taking shots at each other. This time around, Jess stands up for her best friend and punches Luca for insulting Hannah, ending her relationship with him once and for all.
