Tokyo Revengers season 2: Release date, cast, synopsis, trailer & more

Set in the titular city, ‘Tokyo Revengers’ is an anime based on the eponymous manga. It follows Takemichi, a former lawbreaker who accidentally attains the ability to travel through time. He then vows to save his high school girlfriend from being murdered by the notorious Tokyo Manji Gang and subsequently alters the fates of those around him.

Release date

‘Tokyo Revengers season 2’ will stream on Hulu from January 7, 2023.

Official synopsis

“Takemichi Hanagaki decides to travel back in time to prevent a Christmas night face-off between his fellow Toman member Hakkai Shiba and Hakkai’s older brother, Black Dragon leader Taiju Shiba, a bully who has abused his younger siblings for years. However, it’s not easy for Takemichi to change this part of his past.”

Other details

Season 2 of ‘Tokyo Revengers’ will adapt The Christmas showdown arc, otherwise known as the Black Dragons arc of the manga. It focuses on the battle between the Tokyo Manji gang and the 10th generation of the Black Dragons Gang.

Trailer

The characters deal with the aftermath of the Bloody Halloween arc as Takemichi forms a new camaraderie with Hakkai, the vice-captain of Tokyo Manji Gang’s second division. He shares a volatile relationship with her elder brother Taiju Shiba, the Leader of the 10th Generation of the Black Dragons.

All hell breaks loose when the latter orders Hakkai to join the Black Dragons.
