‘The Boys’ spin-off given green light by Amazon Studios

A young adult spin-off of the popular superhero drama ‘The Boys’ has been confirmed for development with Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters serving as showrunners. ‘The Boys’ is an R-rated adaptation of a comic book series and released in 2019.

The new series will take place in a college for young adult superheroes with the official logline reading: “The R-rated series explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supers as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. Part college show, part Hunger Games with all the heart, satire and raunch of The Boys.”

The spin-off is set to feature actors such as Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero, Reina Hardesty, and Maddie Phillips.

‘The Boys’ was developed by Eric Kripke for Amazon Prime Video and followed the eponymous team of vigilantes as they combat superpowered individuals who abuse their abilities.

Fazekas and Butters will also be executive producers for the series along with Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
