Sharman Joshi is all set to star in Netflix’s upcoming Abbas-Mastan-helmed web series ‘Penthouse’, as per reports.
The shooting was supposed to begin this year but has been pushed back due the nation-wide coronavirus lockdown.
The actor’s recent web series ‘Baarish 2’, which is streaming on ALTBalaji, has been receiving a positive response from the viewers and critics.
Talking about the success of the web series, producer Ekta Kapoor earlier stated on Instagram:
“Ths show was probably more for tv than web ..I thought …gave it a v low promotional launch ! Thought it would b a nice one to round up the library..!not only did it do exceptionally well it opened up smaller towns n new audiences for us! #baarish worked for its simplicity n sweetness!”
Penthouse also marks Abbas-Mastan’s debut in the digital world. Their last outing was 2017’s Bollywood film ‘Machine’.
