Amazon Prime Video has released the official teaser of the much-awaited film, ‘Sardar Udham’. The movie is based on the life of the revolutionary Sardar Udham Singh.

‘Sardar Udham’ is based on the life of Sardar Udham Singh, who had assassinated Michael O’Dwyer, a former lieutenant governor of Punjab in India, in 1940 in Westminster, London. The assassination was carried out in retaliation for the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar, as the main person responsible for the massacre was Michael O’Dwyer. Sardar Udham was hung in July 1940, after being convicted of murder.

Almost a minute-long teaser of the film begins with someone carefully putting together a document, and sticking the photo of the titular character. The scene turns to a pile of passports, all displaying different names – Ude Singh, Frank Brazil, and Sher Singh. The passport with the name ‘Udham Singh’ is added on top of the pile, and the trailer ends with the sounds of gunshots, hinting at the plot of the film regarding the assassination.
