Season 2 of Russian Doll will be premiering on Netflix on 20 April.

Synopsis

“Set four years after the events of Season 1, the trailer for the second season shows Nadia (Lyonne) getting lost in the New York City subway system, wondering when she is. Posters of ‘Sophie’s Choice,’ bad ’80s clothes, and even early 20th-century soldiers prove that Nadia can’t escape being a prisoner of time.”

Other details

Production of season 2 was one of the many projects delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming for the series began an entire year later in March 2021.

Nadia gets on a train that seems to transport her back to the 80s as she once again finds herself trying to escape the intricacies of time.
