SS Rajamouli’s star-studded ‘RRR’ to stream on Netflix and ZEE5

Acclaimed director and film-maker SS Rajamouli’s upcoming magnum opus film, RRR, is set to premiere on Netflix and ZEE5 in multiple languages. It stars Telugu’s famed actors, Jr NTR and Ram Charan, in the lead roles.

PEN Studios, which had previously acquired the film’s rights, has announced the highest post-theatrical, digital, and satellite agreement in India for RRR.

The Hindi, English, Portuguese, Korean, Turkish, and Spanish dubs of the film have been linked with Netflix, one of the world’s largest streaming platforms. ZEE5 would broadcast regional languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The movie is set to be released in theaters on October 13, 2021. The film will be published on digital streaming platforms and satellite once it has completed its theatrical run.

Zee Cinema, Star Telugu, Star Tamil, Star Kannada, and Asianet (Malayalam) are among RRR’s satellite partners.

Produced by DVV Danayya, the film is a period drama, it acquires a fictional take on the younger days of celebrated freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetharamaraju.

While Ram Charan will play Sitarama, Jr NTR will portray Komaram in RRR, in addition, Rajamouli has roped in Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn to play pivotal parts in the film.

This movie, with an estimated budget of ₹350–400 crore, is currently in the post-production stage.
