Netflix has released the trailer for its latest thriller, ‘Open your eyes’. It revolves around an amnesiac teen’s fight against a sketchy treatment facility that contains dark secrets beneath its caring outlook.
The upcoming Polish mystery series carries a sci-fi twist as teen girl Julka (Maria Wawreniuk) finds herself in a memory treatment facility, having lost her family after an accident. Therein she meets with many like her and forms a bond with them.
However, she starts having disturbing dreams that point to the suspicious and unconventional treatment offered at the facility. She, along with her fellow mate, has to find the truth and the way out.
Based on the novel by Katarzyna Berenika Miszczuk, Druga Szansa, ‘Open your eyes’ is set to be released with six episodes in both English and Polish.
The official synopsis reads:
“After a tragic accident, an amnesic teenage girl tries to rebuild her life in a memory disorder centre, but is suspicious of her unconventional treatment.”
The star cast involves Ignacy LissMichał Sikorski, Wojciech Dolatowski, Klaudia Koścista, Zuzanna Galewicz, Marta Nieradkiewicz, Sara Celler Jezierska, Pola Król, Marcin Czarnik and Martyna Martyna.
Speaking about the project, Anna Nagler, producer of the series, said:
“We are delighted to present this descriptive and moving story to Netflix users in Poland and around the world.”
‘Open your eyes’ is all set to premiere worldwide on Netflix on August 25.
