Madha available now on Amazon Prime Video

Critically acclaimed Telugu psychological thriller, Madha, is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

The film revolves around the life of a proofreader, Nisha. She falls in love with a man who, along with a group of people, manipulates her and then makes her out to be a patient with schizophrenia, a psychological disorder.

Nisha ends up in an asylum where she is subjected to brutality and illegal experiments. How is she related to this scheme and what role does she play in it? These questions only get answered in the film.

The film was released in March but its release was cut short due to the imposition of country-wide lockdown. Despite its short run, the film was highly appreciated and received many accolades.

Madha stars Trishna Mukherjee in the lead role. The cast of the film also includes Venkat Rahul, Anish Kuruvilla, and Bikramjeet Kanwarpal. The film is directed by Srividya Basawa; it is Basawa’s directorial debut.

Madha got its digital release on Prime Video only a month after its theatrical release. On this subject, Mukherjee stated:

I am thrilled that audiences have the chance to watch Madha so soon after its release! It was an absolute delight to work on a mystery thriller with a talented cast as well as with Srividya Basawa who made her directorial debut with this film. Due to the ongoing global crisis, our film’s theatre run had to be cut short, but as Madha makes its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video, audiences can now enjoy it from the safety and comfort of their homes.
