Disney+ releases trailer for the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars

DisneyPlus has released an official trailer for the upcoming conclusive season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

First premiered on Cartoon Network in 2008, the animated series is set in the fictional Star Wars Galaxy during the three years between the prequel Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith films.

The final season will see the plot explore the events which eventually lead to Episode III. The two-minute trailer shows various characters prepare for the momentous end with the story falling into place.

Initially started as a theatrical film, The Clone Wars has been massively successful as a franchise and has earned multiple awards. The series has been created by George Lucas with Dave Filoni as Executive Producer/Supervising Director.

The cast of the show includes Matt Lanter as “Anakin Skywalker”, Dee Bradley Baker as “Captain Rex”, Ashley Eckstein as “Ahsoka Tano,” and others.

The 12 episodic final season will be airing on Disney’s own streaming platform Disney Plus come February 21st. Check out the trailer:
