Dash & Lily: Netflix’s latest addition to Christmas spirit

Netflix’s latest offering brings Christmas cheer in the guise of a dare. The streaming giant has released the trailer for Dash and Lily as it prepares for its annual slew of Christmas releases. Based on the young adult series, “Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares” by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn, the film is slated for release in November.

Executive produced by Shawn Levy, Josh Barry (of Stranger Things and I Am Not Okay With This), and Nick Jonas, the film follows Austin Abrams (The Walking Dead, This is Us) and Midori Francis (Good Boys), essaying titular roles of Dash and Lily, as they exchange messages and dares through a hidden diary in a bookstore in Manhattan.

While Dash comes off as the cynic who hates Christmas, Lily is the exact opposite with an optimistic vein determined to make him change his mind. Subscribing to the format of conventional feel-good romcoms, Dash and Lily appears to be a promising end-of-year watch.

Netflix has been rolling out Christmas titles with the season fast approaching. Emma Roberts starrer Holidate, Operation Christmas Drop, Christmas Chronicles 2 and The Princess Switch 2 are some of the titles that will be getting a release this Winter.

The film will be hitting the small screens on November 10. Check out the trailer below:
