Netflix is prepped to release the fourth and final season of the infamous teen-drama 13 Reasons Why on June 5. The trailer for the same was recently released by the streaming platform.
The show-runner, Brian Yorkey, took to Instagram to share the preponed release date for the fourth season in a heart-felt letter.
The fourth season of 13 Reasons Why, featuring Miles Heizer, Ross Butler, Alisha Boe, Brandon Flynn and Dylan Minnette, essentially revolves around aftermaths of Bryce’s death and events that happen before the students of Liberty High School graduate.
Moving-up of the release date has a lot to do with the parallels between the setting of the season and the unfortunate fact that students across the globe haven’t been able to celebrate graduation traditionally due to the pandemic.
In the final episode of season three, Monty was rumoured to have died in his jail cell, after which Clay and the rest of the gang thought it convenient to frame him for Bryce’s murder and get the cops off their backs once and for all.
However, the fourth season seems to have stirred things up considerably, for the trailer kicks off with a “Monty was framed” graffiti inside the school premises leading the gang back into the whirlpool of crimes and chaos.
The graffiti, although, seems to be least of Justin and Clay’s worries, for Monty’s beau Winston enrols at Liberty High determined to prove Monty’s innocence.
We can’t seem to put a finger on exact events, but we’ve come to a conclusion that the new season will be filled with history haunting the future, more drama, more secrets, more brotherhood and more crimes.
Web series are rebounding back to OTT platforms with new seasons way before their scheduled releases, in line with new shows and movies sprinting towards early release dates, to keep viewers calm and entertained in these perilous times.
Netflix has been leading the bandwagon of early-releases with Space Force, The Last Days of American Crime, The Umbrella Academy season 2 and Dynasty season 3 amongst many more web series in its corner.
