Emotional “goodbye” released for season 4 of ’13 Reasons Why’

Netflix has released the final “goodbye” for their original thriller 13 Reasons Why. Titled Saying Goodbye, the video shows the cast and crew doing a final table read for the web series’ last season.

The official description of the last season is as follows:

In the series’ final season, Liberty High School’s Senior Class prepares for graduation. But before they say goodbye, they’ll have to keep a dangerous secret buried and face heartbreaking choices that might alter their lives forever.

13 Reasons Why is popularly known to deal with difficult themes that exist in today’s world like mental health, bullying and sexual assault. Over the years, the web series has faced both support and backlash for their projections of these sensitive topics.

The showrunner Brian Yorkey took to Instagram to write a note to the “13RW family”:

The cast of the 10-episode final series includes Miles Heizer, Ross Butler, Alisha Boe, Brandon Flynn and Dylan Minnette.

Netflix has continually been exploring on hard-hitting societal issues with its originals such BoJack Horseman, Delhi Crime and Peabody Award nominee Unbelievable.

Last month, the streaming giant collaborated with Instagram for the Wanna Talk About It initiative to help people around the world cope with the ongoing situation as Netflix’s stars spoke to mental health experts live on Instagram.
