The plot of The Fable explained

The Fable follows the titular assassin — the best in the world — as he is ordered to take a one-year sabbatical from work and live a normal life, a mission most difficult for a man who has had anything but a normal life.

A legendary assassin has to take a year off his job and live a different, normal life.

For a man who has been trained since his childhood to be the world’s finest assassin, this sabbatical might just be his most difficult mission yet.

The Fable

The titular assassin has long won the title of the world’s best killer, evident by his skillset and the killer’s intellect and instincts.

He is proficient in both physical battle and weaponry. He kills his targets within six seconds. In under twenty minutes, he can level down an entire gang.

He is just as physically fierce and agile as he is facially docile and nonchalant. Seconds after killing someone, the Fable returns to his usual business as if nothing happened.

Whereas he can read the opponent/target’s movements with pinpoint accuracy, as well as predict them, he has a hard time entertaining and understanding social cues.

The sister

In situations where social cues and clues elude him, his assistant steps in to avoid trouble and mitigate a crisis.

She is a reliable partner but he’s often groaning at the animated woman who has been with his boss since childhood but only a short while with him.

His assistant is also his driver, who will be accompanying him in this one-year break, as his sibling named Yoko Sato.

Contrasting his eccentrically morose and dreadful disposition, Yoko sports a lively attitude.

The sabbatical

Sato has been on a spree ever since he began this profession six years ago. After a high kill count, especially in the current year, he has to take a break.

His boss gives him his earnings and tells him to go live a regular life and create no trouble while playing pretend

Akira Sato is the alias that the Fable must pick up and live the next whole year of his life under. He is going to live in Osaka, hopefully under the radar, and sans trouble.

Their place of stay is being provided by a gang of Yakuzas, who are both fascinated and scared of the legendary assassin who has all the criminal underworld fearing him.
