Plot summary

Shina is a school teacher who is quite unhappy in his life. He is married to Sade with a daughter and is having an affair with his colleague, Amaka. Lateef is a promiscuous mechanic with a serious gambling problem.

He is juggling affairs with multiple women, and while he’s fooling around with Laide in his apartment, his other mistress, Iyoba shows up. She gets into an argument with Laide and shoves her, causing Laide to fall down and hit her head which kills her.

Shina visits a pastor and performs a money ritual to bring back his glory and improve his life. He then goes to the bank to withdraw some money that Sade asked him to.

He meets a pretty woman there and chats with her, but she sees someone suspicious and disappears before he can get her name. Lateef and Iyabo decide to hide Laide’s body and Iyabo pays Lateef 20 million naira to keep their secret.

When Shina returns home that night, he gets a notification that 50 million naira has been deposited in his account and he takes it as a miracle from God for performing the ritual.

Shina and Lateef meet each other and celebrate their new wealth by spending it lavishly. Sade is worried about the source of Shina’s sudden wealth, while Lateef proposes to Laide’s friend Risi despite continuing to sleep with other women.

Risi is worried about Laide and wonders where she might have disappeared. Amaka wants to know when Shina will leave his wife and marry her. Meanwhile, Shina’s mother has someone else in mind to marry Shina and give her a grandson.

Shina buys a new car, and a new house, and even wants to put his daughter in a more expensive school but every time Sade asks him where he got the money, he brushes her off.

Lateef is suffering from nightmares because of the guilt but he isn’t able to talk to anyone about it. He is able to convince Risi that he is a loving, caring man despite not being faithful.

Lateef and Shina decide to open a betting business together because Shina knows how much money Lateef drowns in his bets. Shina’s mother invites a woman from their village named Bose to live with him and be his new wife.

Shina is kidnapped one day and is brought in front of the pretty woman he saw at the bank. She says that she was the one who put the money in his account for safekeeping and wants it back.

She introduces herself as Ihotu and says that if he isn’t able to return the money in 3 days, he will be in much trouble. The money belonged to the Black Lions, the godfathers in the city who were very dangerous.

Lateef cannot take it any longer and exhumes Laide’s body so that it is found and her parents get some closure. Shina looks for a way to get 50 million naira in 3 days while things in his home devolve significantly.

Amaka shows up claiming that she’s pregnant and Sade leaves the house in disgust. Iyoba is angry with Lateef for exhuming Laide’s body and wants to get back at him somehow.

Shina manages to get 41 million for Ihotu and when she asks him how he came up with that so quickly, he mentions the betting business. She changes her mind and says that she will use his business to launder money.

Iyoba offers Risi a job in her office and then uses the time together to poison her mind against Lateef. The police arrive to take Lateef under the suspicion of Laide’s murder but Shina gets him out with Ihotu’s help.
