Naina: Dil Dosti Dilemma character explained

In Dil Dosti Dilemma, Naina places her trust in a boy who takes advantage of her feelings. Revathi Pillai plays Naina.

Naina is one of Asmara’s closest friends, living a life of privilege along with her friends and shielded from life’s struggles.

Her mother is a successful businesswoman, while her father, a former renowned tennis player, now coaches young talents.

Unexpectedly, Armaan, the college’s most popular boy whom Naina likes, begins showering her with attention, and Naina remains unaware that he has an ulterior motive.

Trusting the wrong person

Armaan breaks up with his on-and-off girlfriend, Nia, and tries to get Naina to date him, which makes Naina’s friends suspicious.

Asmara and Tania know that Armaan is a womanizer and warn her to stay away from him; they believe that Naina deserves better.

However, Naina continues to go on dates with Armaan. Due to her friends’ disapproval, she keeps this from them.

When they question her, she assures them that there is nothing going on between her and Armaan.

Armaan is also a tennis player, and Naina does not know that he is only dating her because he wants to be coached by her father.

At times, Naina herself doubts Armaan’s intentions. However, he manipulates her into feeling guilty about questioning him.

He convinces her that he is genuinely interested in her, which leads Naina to persuade her father to coach Armaan.

Unaware that Armaan is still dating Nia, Naina continues to do him favors until her father sees him with Nia.

Learning a lesson

Naina learns from her father that Armaan is using her, which breaks her heart. Despite this, she asks her father to continue coaching Armaan, even though he wants to drop him.

Finally, Naina tells her friends the truth about dating Armaan. Her friends forgive and comfort her, giving her the courage to confront Armaan.

Naina not only breaks up with him but also reveals that she has asked his biggest competitor, Nikhil, to return and defeat him in a match.

Nikhil, Naina’s brother and a tennis player, no longer lives with the family. Naina blames her father for her brother leaving.

Nikhil agrees to come back for her sake. With Nikhil’s return, Armaan won’t be able to progress beyond the first round of the championship.

Naina then helps Asmara save Tibbri Road, using her parents’ connections and her privilege for a worthy cause.

Their efforts bear fruit as they not only save Tibbri Road but also learn a valuable lesson about not keeping secrets from each other.
