Angie Adams: Prom Dates character explained

In Prom Dates, Angie Adams is a student at Hannah and Jess’s school. Hannah has a crush on her. Terry Hu plays Angie.

In the film, when Angie first appears, Hannah gets lost, dreaming about what could be her life if she and Angie end up together.

Hannah would die to go to the prom with someone as cool as Angie. However, the moment Angie comes talking to Hannah, Hannah gets nervous, starts choking on her gum, and even farts.

Hannah is still struggling to come out in front of everyone. While she comes out to her best friend, Jess, and looks for the girl she wants for the prom, she unexpectedly bumps into Angie at a concert.

Impressing and losing Angie

After a fallout with Jess and a rough night, Hannah decides to go back home after taking the keys to her house from her brother, Jacob, who is at a concert.

There, Hannah sees Angie performing with a band. Angie bumps into Hannah and is impressed by the rough night that Hannah has had.

The two connect, and Angie expresses her desire to kiss Hannah, who finally gets intimate with the girl of her dreams.

Unfortunately, Greg pops up at the wrong time. Angie learns that Hannah has been hiding her sexuality and has used Greg, which disgusts her, prompting her to walk out.

Becoming friends

At the end of the film, Hannah gathers the courage and apologizes to Greg in front of everyone at prom. She also comes out as a lesbian.

Following the big gesture and reconciling with Jess, Hannah approaches Angie again. However, Angie rejects Hannah, as Hannah has just come out.

Angie admits that she is attracted to Hannah, but Hannah still has to sort out a few things identity-wise.

Since Hannah has no queer friends, Angie offers to be one, and Hannah accepts.
