Anders Lund: True Detective: Night Country character explained

In True Detective: Night Country, Anders Lund is the only other surviving scientist, apart from Clark, of Tsalal. Thorsteinn Bachmann plays the role of Lund.

Anders Lund is the founder and director of the Tsalal Arctic Research Station. He has graduated with a PhD in structural biology and biochemistry.

Among the bodies of Tsalal men is one of Lund’s. He has the spiral sign drawn over his head. The Tsalal men look frozen to death, but it turns out that Lund is alive.

When one of the police officers accidentally breaks his arm, his corpse screams out loud, leaving everyone, including Liz, terrified.

The fate of Lund

Lund is the fortunate one from the Tsala Arctic Research Station to survive. However, he is sent into an induced coma, and at least one of his legs has to be amputated.

Unfortunately, Lund ends up losing both of his legs as well as his eyesight. Despite keeping him heavily sedated, he wakes up and occasionally communicates. He is agitated most of the time.

When Liz and Navarro come to meet him, he is already screaming out loud. Lund does talk to Liz and Navarro. He mentions a girl who has awakened and is out there in the ice.
