Ömer and Leyla have been dating for seven years now. They used to be happy together, but everything changed after the pandemic hit.
Ömer lost his job and had to move in with Leyla, relying on a loan from his parents. Initially, they enjoyed living together, and Ömer even proposed to Leyla.
Only after that did they realize that they had moved in together and gotten engaged before they were truly ready.
The breakup
Ömer, no longer happy with Leyla, withdraws from her instead of discussing their problems, causing them to grow distant.
One day, Ömer goes on a men’s-only camping trip with his friends, where a friend brings along a woman named Balim, an acquaintance of Ömer.
Leyla sees photos of this trip online and becomes convinced that Ömer is cheating on her, leading her to break up with him in anger.
On the same day of their breakup, Ömer confides in Balim about his relationship issues. They end up finding comfort in each other, resulting in them sleeping together.
Ömer later tries to get back together with Leyla by explaining that he only slept with Balim after their breakup, but Leyla does not believe him.
When Ömer discovers that Leyla started dating other people immediately after their breakup, he becomes upset and causes a scene outside her house.
Ömer and Leyla cannot avoid each other, as they share custody of their dog, so their interactions become increasingly hostile from this point onward.
Ömer’s lies
It is not easy for Leyla and Ömer to move on from each other. Ömer gets jealous and acts impulsively whenever he sees Leyla with someone else.
Similarly, Leyla is bothered by Ömer dating Balim. However, with time, their relationship improves; they stop fighting all the time and even become friends.
Ömer invites Leyla to the opening of Cem’s hotel, a project he worked on. At the hotel opening, Ömer witnesses Leyla kissing Cem and breaks down in front of Sarp.
Sarp then sends pictures of Leyla and Ömer to Cem from Ömer’s phone, suggesting that Leyla and Ömer are still together. This ruins Cem and Leyla’s chances of having a relationship.
Nearly two years after their breakup, Leyla and Ömer get back together after Leyla’s perspective on relationships changes following a discussion with her parents.
Ömer then becomes a partner at his firm, buys a beautiful house, and proposes to Leyla. This time, he strives to be a better partner.
However, two days before their wedding, Leyla discovers that Ömer lied to her about his relationship with Balim.
Ömer led Leyla to believe that he only occasionally dated Balim after his breakup with Leyla, but in reality, he was dating her throughout those two years.
He was with her even after he started dating Leyla again. Ömer was planning similar surprises for both women to make them feel special.
Ömer also meets Balim a night before the wedding. Sarp sees them together and ends up revealing this to Leyla. On top of that, it is Ömer who accuses Leyla of lying and cheating on him.
When Leyla uncovers all his lies, she calls off the wedding and walks away with a smile, relieved to shed the burden of dating Ömer.
