He has a fiance named Merve who he plans to marry, but is waiting for the right moment. i

Gökhan is a former soldier who is suffering from PTSD after his entire unit was killed in a raid, leaving him the only survivor.

He also ended up with a hearing defect and wears an aid in his left ear. One day, Gökhan receives a message from someone named Kübra on his phone telling him he’s “different”.

It’s on an app that he joined where people talk about their faith, but Kübra sends vague, prophetic messages that worry Gökhan.

Kübra convinces Gökhan that they are sharing the word of Allah and it is his responsibility as a messenger to share this with the world.

He puts him through a test to prove his worthiness and then tells him to warn people of an impending danger.

The city undergoes a power outage and a harsh sound of a low frequency is heard by everyone.

They are all convinced that Gökhan is the chosen one and he slowly gathers a group of followers.

However, this added attention also brings in the authorities as well as politically connected individuals.

Kara is the lead officer investigating the power outages since the government suspects that it was a terrorist act.

They consider Gökhan a suspect because he warned people about it beforehand. He insists that he was told by Allah to warn everyone, so he did.

He doesn’t widely share that Kubra has been the one sending him the messages. The followers increase, but when he turns down the politician, the tides shift.

People send in donations for Gökhan to distribute to the less fortunate, but the authorities show up and tell him that he cannot do so without a permit.

When they try to take him away, a scuffle breaks out and a young man is shot by the police.

The boy’s funeral is carried out peacefully, but some of the men are enraged the officer who shot him was released soon after.

Gökhan loses control of the situation as the men close off their neighborhood and make demands to the police or threaten to riot.

Gökhan begins to lose his faith as he stops hearing from Kubra, but Merve and one of Gökhan’s friends come up with a plan.

They orchestrate a miracle and keep Gökhan out of the loop so that he can back everyone’s trust.

Someone shoots in public with a fake bullet, and everyone is convinced that Allah made him invincible at that moment.

Gökhan then starts a legitimate charitable foundation and gets married to Merve, but the Secretary of Finance is still reaching out to him to be associated with him.

Gökhan once again refuses to get involved in politics, but he is warned that it will not end well for him.

Inspector Kara gets his hands on the shirt that Gökhan was wearing when he was shot and he has it tested.

Gökhan’s foundation is accused of fraud and his mother and father-in-law are arrested because they are on the board.

Their offices are raided and his assets are seized, but Gökhan urges everyone to be patient while he figures out a way to fix things.

Inspector Kara approaches him with the results of the DNA test, proving that the miracle never happened.

Gökhan confronts Merve and tells her that she has undermined the trust that all of his followers had in him.

He walks away from them to think, and another stranger approaches him with key information about Kubra.

Ending explained:

Who is Kubra?

The stranger tells him that Kubra is an AI program created by some tech developers.

They sold their services to a telecommunications company because it would help optimize their customer database.

Some doubts are raised about the capabilities of the program, but one of its primary creators, Berk, isn’t worried.

What does Berk ask Kubra to do?

One evening while chatting with Kubra, Berk asks it to “seize power” as a joke. However, Kubra responds that she can achieve it somehow.

Berk lets the AI access private databases and allows it to act on its own on this project. Kubra initially sent the message to several people, but only Gökhan cleared the initial trials.

Kubra was behind everything including the power outages and the “signs” that Gökhan saw.

As the situation grew, Berk got more excited by the capabilities of his program, but his assistant Adem found out and got worried.

When Berk reminds Adem that he has a family to support, the assistant keeps quiet about it but chooses to share it with Gökhan at the very least.

What does Gökhan do?

Learning that Kubra has been a computer all this time reignites his faith. He believes that Allah used the people who created Kubra as a vessel for his message.

He decides to meet with the minister and negotiate the release of his family and friends who were arrested.

Unbeknownst to them, he has different ideas to share. He meets with the minister in a private room before a big economic conference.

After the meeting, he makes his way to the stage to shock everyone and offers to return all the money that was donated.

Suddenly, ATMs all around the city begin spitting out cash. He then claims to share the word of Allah and calls on people to heed his word or suffer.

He raises his hand and the lights go out, putting the fear of Allah in everyone sitting there.
