In Sugar, Byron Stallings is the thug looking for Clifford Carter. Eric Lange plays Stallings.
Byron Stallings is the boss of Clifford Carter, the person who raped and murdered Carmen Vasquez.
Clifford has been missing for two weeks, and he is Stallings’ main man. All of Stallings’ business is stored on Clifford’s phone. There is stuff on that phone that Stallings doesn’t want anyone else to find out about.
What Stallings doesn’t know yet is that Clifford has been killed by Olivia. Melanie helped Olivia hide his body. His body has been discovered by Sugar in Olivia’s trunk. So far, Sugar has kept his mouth shut for Mr. Jonathan Seigel.
The last messages that Clifford sent to Stallings include a picture of Carmen and a message saying that he is going to sleep with her. Following that, Clifford sent a picture of Melanie, asking if she looked familiar.
Threatening Teresa
After two weeks of investigation, Stallings finds out who Carmen is. However, since she is dead, he tracks down her sister, Teresa, and confronts her with his investigation.
Teresa’s expressions tell him that she knows Melanie. He forces Teresa to invite Melanie over and threatens both of them.
Sugar, who has Charlie keep an eye on Melanie, comes to their rescue and saves Melanie, Teresa, and Teresa’s kids.
Ruby’s concern
Stallings’ involvement in the case worries Ruby. Sugar is onto Stallings. There is a reason Ruby didn’t want Sugar to pick up Olivia’s case.
Ruby and the officials at the Cosmopolitan Polyglot Society are keeping a secret from Sugar related to Stallings.
Ruby informs Dr. Vickers about Sugar going after Stallings. They intend to stop him immediately. In the final moments of the third episode, Ruby is seen deleting files and records related to Stallings.
