Detective Ray Fisher’s role in American Rust: Broken Justice explained

In American Rust: Broken Justice, Detective Fisher plays an influential role as part of the brotherhood of the Pittsburgh Police Department. Kyle Beltran plays Fisher.

Detective Fisher works in Internal Affairs. In the second season, he first appears, trying to grill Del again about a case concerning his partner Chuck.

Later on, Fisher is revealed to be an integral part of the brotherhood, an unofficial group at the Pittsburgh PD known for crossing their limits.

Fisher is a significant figure within the group, distinguishing himself as a leader with a composed and analytical mindset, adept at making critical decisions.

Role in the death of Vic Walker

A matter concerning Vic Walker, a member of the brotherhood, is submitted to Fisher by Angela.

Vic is a hot-minded individual who abuses his partner, Cynthia, daily. A message sent to Cynthia by Vic, which has Vic taking a selfie with a dead body and threatening Cynthia that this will be her, worries Fisher.

Fisher sees this as a big slip-up on Vic’s end. Fisher doesn’t tolerate loose ends. Hence, he doesn’t waste time getting rid of Vic Walker when it is required.

Is Fisher dead?

By the end of the FBI’s investigation into the brotherhood, after a shootout that injures Del and Angela, nine arrests are made.

Fisher is the only one who escapes the cops. He comes seeking revenge at the end of the second season.

Hiding in the woods, using a sniper rifle, Fisher eyes Del, Grace, Billy, and Isaac, who are having food together at their cabin.

Billy notices the red mark pointing at them and comes out to sneak up on Fisher. A gunshot is heard, but the show doesn’t reveal who shot who.
