T・P BON follows the adventures of a boy named Bon and his partner Ream after he joins Time Patrol. The series is now streaming on Netflix.

Episode 1: I Won’t Be Erased!
Bon Namihira is an average boy through and through. He is never too good or too bad at anything; he is simply average, and he likes it.
One day, he witnesses strange incidents, such as a girl falling from the sky and time passing too quickly. He then sees his friend, Tetsuo, fall to his death.
However, time is reversed by the girl who fell from the sky, which means Tetsuo is still alive. While Tetsuo does not remember what happened to him, Bon does.
After leaving Tetsuo’s house, Bon finds a strange vehicle, a Time Boat, and drives it, which takes him back centuries. He is rescued by the girl he saw earlier.
The girl introduces herself as Ream, an agent of Time Patrol. The Time Television Surveillance Network was created with the purpose of saving people’s lives.
The agents travel through time and across the globe using the Time Boat to save people from unfortunate deaths, but they cannot help historically relevant people, as that might change history.
Ream works with a creature named Buyoyon. She forgot to turn on her Forgetter, a device that agents use to make people forget all the strange things they have seen.
Now, Ream must go back in time and erase Bon’s existence because he is not supposed to know about time travel.
However, it turns out that Bon is historically relevant, so he cannot be erased. The only other option is to have him become a Time Patrol agent.
Bon finds himself working alongside Ream and Buyoyon as an apprentice in the Rescue Unit of Time Patrol.
Episode 2: T・P Apprentice
Now that Bon is a Time Patrol apprentice, Ream, who is an agent and has come from the year 2056, will act as his instructor.
Ream teaches him all the rules he is supposed to follow through the compressed learning system, which directly transfers information from books to a person’s brain.
Together, they travel to the year 1947 to save a woman named Ms. Hana Yamada from drowning in a flood.
Ms. Yamada refuses to evacuate her house because she is waiting for her son to return home. Bon and Ream cannot use physical force to make her evacuate, as that is against the rules.
When they fail to convince her to leave, they find her son and use the Gravity Canceler to bring him to Ms. Yamada. Bon risks his own life to bring Ms. Yamada closer to her son.
Fortunately, they arrive on time. Ms. Yamada and her son reunite, allowing Ms. Yamada to evacuate safely.
Episode 3: The Secret of the Pyramid
The next mission takes Bon and Ream to ancient Egypt in the year 2592 B.C. to save a man named Thoth, who will be involved in building the pyramid.
They use a hologram of Goddess Hathor to dissuade Thoth and his father from going to the city where Thoth will die 19 years later.
However, Thoth’s father, a craftsman, is unwilling to miss the opportunity to build King Djoser’s tomb in a way that prevents tomb robbers from looting it.
He introduces a unique design and promises to burn the map of the tomb, which will later be known as one of the Pyramids, to make it impenetrable.
While his father builds the tomb, Thoth marries and has children. Thoth’s father, the only one who knows the tomb’s secret, dies before its completion.
Before dying, he warns his son not to take over the construction. Ignoring his father’s advice, Thoth takes over the construction and learns the tomb’s secret.
After the tomb’s construction, Thoth is sealed inside with the King to protect the tomb’s secret. Meanwhile, Bon and Ream are kidnapped by a group of tomb robbers.
One of the robbers frees them and demands to be taken back with them. With Buyoyon’s help, Bon and Ream manage to defeat the robber and escape.
They then enter the tomb where Thoth is sealed. As Bon is not wearing a Time Patrol uniform, he, along with Thoth, passes out due to lack of oxygen.
To save them, Ream sends the pyramid 400 years ahead in time, when it has already been looted, allowing Thoth to escape.
She then returns the pyramid to its original timeline, and Thoth reunites with his family. Having learned his lesson, he is going to leave the city with his family.
Following the incident, Ream and Bon are visited by Will, an agent from the Time Patrol Criminal Investigation Unit, who informs them that the robber who freed them is a temporal criminal.
This criminal has been traveling through time and space to loot Egyptian tombs, but his machine broke down, so he freed Bon and Ream to get their Time Boat.
The headquarters ensure that the activities of two different units do not overlap to prevent a distortion in space-time, which is why Will did not come to save them sooner.
Bon and Ream rescued themselves and successfully completed the mission, ending the day on a positive note.
Episode 4: An Ancient Man Crosses the Pacific
Bon is recognized as an associate agent and receives his own gear, including his own Time Boat.
The next mission takes Bon and Ream to 800 B.C. to save a man named Toge from drowning in a storm off the coast of Mindanao Island.
Bon rescues him by forwarding his canoe to a point in time when the storm has passed, but he does not stop there once he learns that Toge might become his Japanese ancestor.
He provides Toge with food and water and transports his boat to the island in a way that seems natural. He continues to help him even after that.
Bon wants to lead Toge to a nearby settlement, but Toge manages it on his own after saving a group of kids from a wild animal. Toge is welcomed into the settlement.
However, Bon makes a mistake. He eats an akebia fruit and alters the future. Ream then tells him how Bon is relevant to history to make him understand the significance of his actions.
In his present, Bon accidentally hit a man with a rock, which led the man to find a child who had fallen into a well.
This child will find a cure for an intractable disease, which will save the life of a politician and avert a crisis that could lead to World War III.
Bon now understands how even his smallest actions can change the future. He resolves to be more careful in following the rules while carrying out his missions.
Episode 5: Witch Hunt
Bon learns that he can go back in time a few minutes to prevent particular accidents, but it is only done in emergencies because it can be dangerous.
This time, their mission takes Bon and Ream to France in 1644 to save Celine, a woman who is going to be burned at the stake as a witch.
Bon and Ream are injured by a hunter, and it is Celine who rescues them. Celine lives in the forest and makes herbal medicines to help the villagers.
She is planning to marry Jean, who has to be in Lyon for work. However, a jealous villager, rejected by Celine, accuses her of being a witch.
Celine is arrested and tortured until she falsely admits to being a witch. Ream then sends a recording of Celine’s death into Jean’s dream, prompting him to rush to her side.
Jean refuses to be separated from Celine any longer; he marries her and takes her to Lyon. Ream and Bon succeed in their mission.
Episode 6: The Mountain of the Roaring White Dragon
In 628 A.D., Ream and Bon have to save Chamuku, a young boy who desires to see the world. He is going to join a traveling group and die in an avalanche in the Tian Shan Mountains.
While Chamuku’s father fails to dissuade him from journeying with the group led by a Buddhist monk, Master Xuanzang, Ream and Bon try to convince the monk not to take him.
However, Bon’s Forgetter is on, so the monk forgets their conversation, and Chamuku joins the group.
Ream and Bon also fail to scare off Master Xuanzang with a dragon’s hologram. Bon learns that Master Xuanzang’s group inspired the story of Journey to the West.
As the group’s journey becomes more dangerous, Bon and Ream save people who are not historically relevant.
Eventually, an avalanche hits, and they get permission to save all the members of the group by reversing the avalanche in time.
What they do not realize is that their Forgetters are off, and the group sees them on their Time Boats dressed in a pig and a monkey costume, which they wore to stay warm.
This is how Bon, Ream, and Buyoyon unknowingly inspire the legend of the Monkey King in Journey to the West.
Episode 7: The Dark Labyrinth
Bon and Ream travel to 1500 B.C. to save a man and a woman from Athens who are being sent to Crete as sacrifices to protect their kingdom.
Using the hologram of Pallas Athena, they try to convince the King of Crete, Minos, to send the sacrifices back to their home, but they fail.
They then enter the labyrinth, a system of underground caves where the sacrifices will be sent. At the center of it is the Great Hall, where a mythical creature called the Minotaur resides.
Bon and Ream free the sacrifices by taking their place. They have saved their lives, but now they must escape the labyrinth.
Before they can find a way out, they are attacked by the Minotaur and killed. As Bon and Ream often neglect to maintain their Time Boats, they keep malfunctioning.
This time, it works in their favor, as Bon’s Time Boat malfunctions and reverses time, coming to Bon’s aid and allowing Bon, Ream, and Buyoyon to escape.
Episode 8: The Beautiful Girl on the Battlefield
For his school homework, Bon has to interview a 90-year-old woman, Akiko Shikishima. However, Bon has to leave the interview to accompany Ream on a mission.
They must save a Japanese soldier who is destined to die in a suicide mission of the Kamikaze Special Attack Corps toward the end of the Pacific War.
Bon and Ream manage to save the soldier’s life, but he continues to attempt suicide because he does not want to be captured by the enemy.
After thwarting his attempts, when they try to reason with him, he starts attacking them, believing that they are enemies.
Ream and Bon then discover that the soldier and Ms. Akiko are in love. When the soldier attempts to sacrifice himself by facing the enemy, he has a strange dream.
This is all Ream’s doing; she synchronized the soldier’s and Ms. Akiko’s brain waves. After talking to Ms. Akiko, the soldier is convinced to keep living for her.
He surrenders to the enemy, and this changes Ms. Akiko’s future. Now, she is a married woman who got to live her life with the man she loves.
Episode 9: Riding a Dinosaur on Vacation
Ream takes Bon on vacation to the Late Jurassic Period, as Time Patrol agents are allowed to use their Time Boats for non-work reasons once a year.
Ream makes all the arrangements, so Bon gets to see various dinosaurs and eat good food. Then, something catches Bon’s attention: a flicker of light.
Upon investigating, Bon and Ream find a space-time tear, which they report immediately. The next day, they find out what caused it.
They come across a poacher who has been time-traveling undetected. Bon and Ream decide to report to headquarters instead of going after the armed poacher.
On their way back to their tent, Bon and Ream use a device called the Check Card, which checks if a creature has influence on the flow of history, on a Juramaia.
They find out that this particular creature is extremely important, which means that the theory that all mammals evolved from a subspecies of Juramaia might be correct.
The poacher then injures the Juramaia, which forces Bon and Ream to confront him. Just when the poacher is about to harm Bon and Ream, Buyoyon comes to their rescue.
The poacher is subdued, and Bon and Ream heal the Juramaia. They hand over the poacher to Officer Will, bringing their adventurous vacation to an end.
Episode 10: Gunfight Near the O.K. Corral
Bon is an exceptional gunslinger, so he is excited to know that their next mission is to save a gunslinger in 1881 near Tombstone.
Since they do not know much about their target, they will have to go undercover and investigate to learn more about him.
To help Bon blend in with the locals, Ream alters his appearance, resulting in Bon resembling their target.
Bon now has to roam the streets in the hope of being recognized by someone. Meanwhile, Ream finds out that their target, Babyface Jim, was imprisoned for committing robbery.
While Bon is mistaken for their target and arrested, Ream meets the real target, Babyface Jim, and discovers that he is an innocent man.
A man named Glen Morgan committed the robberies and framed Jim, who has now broken out of prison to catch Morgan.
Ream and Bon learn that Morgan is a member of the Clanton brothers, and tomorrow they plan to ambush Jim and kill him.
Helping Jim would mean that Bon and Ream would engage in a gunfight with the gang members.
If the gang members die, history will be altered. As there is no other option, Bon faces the gang as Jim in a gunfight.
Ream uses her Time Controller to make Bon faster than the gang, allowing him to shoot them with a shockwave gun, which only knocks them out.
They leave Morgan for the real Jim to find and return home. Now that Bon has seen a real gunfight, a fight with toy guns seems immature to him.
Episode 11: The Marathon Battle
Bon and Ream travel to 490 B.C. to save as many men as possible in the Battle of Marathon.
Before the battle starts, they meet a man named Pheidippides, an Athenian messenger who has just carried a message to Sparta. Bon and Ream help the tired messenger recover.
During the battle, Ream slows down the soldiers’ movements, which allows her, Bon, and Buyoyon to heal the soldiers who check out on their Check Cards.
After the battle, Ream goes to the sea, whereas Bon opts to rest. Bon then meets Pheidippides again; he is going to Athens to report their victory over the Persians.
Bon tries to convince Pheidippides to rest, but to no avail, so he knocks Pheidippides out, unaware that his actions might greatly impact the future.
The battle is not yet over; the Persians are attempting to reach Athens before the Athenian army. If the Athenians are not informed of the victory, a treasonous faction might betray them.
This could lead to Athens surrendering to the Persians, which is why it is important to send the news of victory to Athens as soon as possible.
Since it was Bon’s fault, he will have to take Pheidippides’ place and deliver the news. After that, he will have to die in front of the Athenians to inspire them to fight.
Bon is given the name Eukles and made to run to Athens, which takes a toll on his mind and body, but Bon makes it to Athens.
He delivers the news to the people, prevents the future from being altered, and dies a hero. As his death was caused by a shot that Ream had given him, it is only temporary.
Some history books remember the messenger as Pheidippides, while others remember him as Eukles, the name Ream gave Bon.
Episode 12: Hyperspace Castaway
Ream tells Bon about their next mission but gives him the option to not join her, as their target is a time-tripper, which makes the mission dangerous.
Trapped in a temporal vortex, time-trippers keep drifting in the sea of hyperspace; they can end up in different times and places.
Patrol agents have themselves gotten lost in time while going after them. Despite the danger, Bon refuses to let Ream go on her own.
Their target is Ambrose Bierce. The sensors on their Time Boats will keep tracking him on autopilot.
Journeying into the future is inherently risky. Ream and Bon are caught in a space-time vortex and find themselves stranded in the future.
They are unable to contact headquarters or get their Time Boats to function. On top of that, they find themselves facing natural disasters again and again.
Ream confides in Bon about the woman who trained her. Ream worked as her assistant and looked up to her until her mentor transferred to the Anomaly Handling Unit.
However, they remained close even after that. Ream’s mentor went on a mission where she was swallowed by a space-time tear and never returned.
She is now considered a time-tripper. It is because of her accident that Ream regrets putting Bon in similar danger by bringing him along.
Bon assures Ream that they are a team and he does not regret joining her. The next day, during an earthquake, Bon’s Time Boat is destroyed, while Ream’s is lost.
They then face a desert storm and are saved by a man who is none other than Ambrose Bierce. Next time, when there is an earthquake, Ream’s Time Boat comes to their rescue.
Following that, a Time Patrol agent finds them. He tells them that Time Patrol exists in the future as well and is doing very well.
He informs them that Earth has become uninhabitable. There are no humans around because they have migrated to different corners of the Galaxy.
The agent returns Bon and Ream home, where Ream tells him that she is joining the Anomaly Handling Unit to look for her mentor.
She will no longer be working in the Rescue Unit with Bon, who will now become an official Time Patrol agent. Ream says goodbye and leaves an upset Bon behind.
