Conrad Hensley: A Man in Full character explained

Conrad Hensley is Charlie Croker’s employee who is arrested after an altercation with a policeman. Jon Michael Hill plays the character.

Conrad Hensley works in a Croker Foods warehouse and his wife, Jill, is Charlie Croker’s secretary.

When Cornad is out buying groceries, he returns to find his car getting towed for being in a red zone.

He claims that he was pushed there by the car behind him and pleads with them not to take it away and the parking officer calls in back up.

Conrad jumps into his car as the police show up and one of the officers pulls him out and aggressively pins him to the car.

Conrad turns around and punches the officer because he feels significantly threatened for his life.

Conrad is arrested and Jill goes to Charlie for help. Roger takes on the case initially because no criminal lawyer is willing to work with Charlie unless they get paid.

However, Roger isn’t a criminal attorney and he discovers that he is a little out of depth in this case.

A tough judge

Conrad and Jill are assured that he isn’t in too much trouble but the judge presiding over his case says that he deserves to be made an example of for assaulting an officer.

He isn’t interested in the fact that Conrad has a clean record and sets an extremely high bond.

When Roger and the DA agree of 30 days in jail, the judge isn’t happy and counter-offers 60 days in jail or a trial.

Conrad feels that he is being treated unfairly and doesn’t accept the 60 days, but he is sent to a correctional facility while he awaits trial.

Going through hell

Conrad is told to keep his head down and not attract attention while he is inside and it works for a while.

He does get more nervous with each passing day but another new inmate means the focus shifts from him.

When the new inmate is assaulted, Conrad calls for help and paints a target on his own back.

The man responsible for the assault provokes Conrad for helping out and Conrad breaks his arm while fearing what might be done to him.

Seeing the incident of the assault, the judge denies Conrad bail altogether and Roger tries a different approach.

He attempts to argue that Conrad’s attack was justified and the body cam footage showed then after Conrad punched the officer, he was tasered by his partner.

Then the tow truck driver decided to get a few shots in on Conrad while he lay on the ground.

Conrad genuinely felt the unfairness of the situation and it boiled into a split second of bad decision making as he was only thinking of his survival.

The judge is compelled by Roger’s argument and Conrad Hensley is freed from his hell as all charges are dropped.
