Damocles in Furies (2024) explained

In Furies, Damocles are international mercenaries known for killing high-profile individuals.

Driss Arago’s return and Selma’s fake death force the Olympus to think about asking Damocles for a favor to stop Driss. However, they are too afraid to make that decision.

Damocles are well-trained and ruthless assassins who kill presidents, judges, and Furies. They just show up and kill whoever their target is.

The price for hiring Damocles is too high. They refused to be paid in money. They seek a much bigger kind of debt.

Damocles will one day show up out of nowhere, asking for compensation. It can be in any form: one year’s profit, a powerful contact, or the life of your loved ones.

In the Olympus’ case, the Godfathers fear Damocles will ask for a share of their business, or worse, one of their heads.

The Olympus know that if they ask for a favor from Damocles, they will never let go of them. Hence, they choose Parques over Damocles.

Damocles take over

After the death of Parques and the arrests of Lyna, Selma, and Driss, the Olympus calls for Damocles’ favor.

Damocles eradicate Driss’ whole team and corner Lyna, Selma, Driss, and their companions at a house. Lyna, Selma, Driss, and their associates are able to survive Damocles.

However, as expected from them, Damocles come seeking their payment at the end of the series.

After successfully stopping Driss, Lyna and Selma visit the Olympus, hoping to change the Godfathers’ minds, only to find all the Godfathers dead.
