In Girls5eva season 3, Chuck Dennis is a state senator who is also a Fetal Citizen Advocate for a pregnant Dawn. John Early plays Chuck Dennis.
Dawn meets Chuck Dennis when she visits a hospital to check on her baby. Since Roe got overturned, a Fetal Citizen Advocate such as Chuck Dennis is required to be around by the state law at all prenatal appointments.
Chuck is accompanied by his wife, who always stays in hiding in the dark and keeps a watch on him, his patient, and his work.
Furious with Chuck, Dawn writes a song against him. However, it sounds like she is in love with him.
Chuck becomes Girls5eva’s boss
Girls5eva face Chuck again when they realize that the next 20 venues that Wickie has booked for them are places owned by Chuck.
Chuck plans to censor all of Girls5eva’s songs. He takes a quick look at their setlist and asks them to stick to John Cougar Mellencamp covers instead.
Dawn is not happy with someone like Chuck deciding what they should sing. Wickie convinces her that they need to listen to the people in suits if they are going to make money.
Wickie promises Dawn that they will humiliate Chuck when they win at the Grammys.
Sabotaging Chuck’s show
Things change for Girls5eva when Gloria’s fans, who are mostly from the LGTQ+ community, show up for Girls5eva’s show at Chuck’s restaurant.
Summer finds herself by designing a dress for herself rather than relying on the opinions of other men. Summer acknowledges this is the new her, totally original and on her terms, not to appeal to men.
All of this encourages Girls5eva to go with their original setlist. They decide not to ruin their world tour for Chuck.
Girls5eva perform their originals, but they lose their next 20 shows for standing up against Chuck.
