Plot summary

Rapper Bosco Champion has just returned from jail. He is still recovering from the experience.

Through tough times, his sister, Vita, has stayed by his side. Since they were children, Vita has always taken a step back just so that Bosco could have the limelight.

That’s what their mother has told her to do. She has adhered to her wishes. However, she often feels dissatisfied by how Bosco won’t acknowledge her.

The truth is that Bosco only performs; Vita writes Bosco’s songs and doesn’t get credit for them.

Bosco’s return has sent Vita back to taking care of him. She wants to move forward, and she thinks of doing so by asking Bosco if she can be his manager.

Bosco makes a false promise to her, leaving her disappointed, but her best friend, Honey, gives her a gig with Bosco’s rival, Bulla, and his manager, Mark, who is also the fiancé of Bosco’s ex-wife, Chantelle.

Mark only acknowledges the voice that Vita has and only hires her, leading to Vita and Honey drifting apart. Bosco is even more furious to learn that she is working with his rival.

Bosco makes everything about himself again, which doesn’t sit right with Vita, who declares that it’s Champion vs. Champion now.

Bosco’s best friend and Vita’s boyfriend, Memet, finds himself in between this rivalry. Memet and Vita haven’t told Bosco about them yet, as it may drive him further mad.

Working with Mark comes at a big cost for Vita. He records the secrets that she shares with their sound engineer, Laurent, about how Bosco doesn’t write his own music.

Bosco is already under pressure to deliver a single and an upcoming tour, and Mark makes that recording public and ruins Bosco’s big comeback.

To Vita’s surprise, Mark also releases a song of hers without notifying her. A song that belongs to both her and Honey, which makes Honey mad.

Mark helps Vita understand the harsh reality of this industry, where she can’t keep everyone happy. He has arranged a contract for her, and she needs to think.

While Vita is on the road to success, Bosco sees his life falling apart. Bosco and Vita’s father, Beres, come to motivate him from time to time.

What Bosco doesn’t realize is that his father is further pushing him to keep the name of Champions.

Beres dreams of opening an enterprise of their own called Champion Crown. Bosco signs a contract with Champion Crown without giving it much of a thought.

A pressured Bosco goes to great lengths to stay at the top, even opting to steal Vita’s song with Honey. While this is unbelievable for Vita, she also finds Memet with another girl.

Vita starts focusing more on her career, while Bosco’s downfall continues and leaves him at a point where Memet is the only friend he has around him.

Vita faces her fair share of problems as well. Her family hasn’t been welcoming since she abandoned Bosco.

Vita and Bosco’s mother, Aria, gave her the option of joining her restaurant when Vita and Bosco began fighting, but Vita wasn’t ready to give up on her music career. Beres convinces Aria to talk things out with Vita.

Vita begins dating Laurent, and her career takes her to new heights. Bosco, on the other hand, finds himself in a car accident with Memet, who takes the blame when it was Bosco who was drunk driving.

Honey misses another big opportunity, but she reconciles with her best friend, Vita, who decides to abandon the opportunity Mark has brought for her.

Vita has learned about her mother’s past as a singer, and she plans to surprise her by covering her song at her friends’ fashion show.

Vita lets Honey have Mark’s opportunity, and she goes to her friend Tayo’s show. However, Vita’s mother, Aria, doesn’t appreciate the cover very much.

At the same show, Bosco also finds out that Vita and Memet were dating, leading to more chaos.

The reason Aria doesn’t cherish her musical past is revealed when the family, except for Bosco, attends Beres’ father’s funeral in Jamaica.

Beres didn’t let Aria pursue music after Bosco’s birth. Furthermore, more of Beres’ secrets come to light. Junior, the person Bosco and Vita have long seen as their uncle, is Beres’ son from an affair.

After learning this, Aria quickly packs her bags to leave. Though Aria and Beres are already divorced, she had accompanied him here to support him, leaving behind the man who actually loves her.

Beres loses all of his family. Even his father has left everything to Junior in his will.

However, Beres is determined to make his dream of the Champion Crown come true, and he is manipulating Bosco to achieve his dream at a time when Bosco needs mental health support.

Ending explained:

Everything goes wrong for Bosco

Bosco proceeds to help Beres with Champion Crown until his manager, Dawn, reveals that he should have read the contract before signing with his father.

Champion Crown is a subsidiary of Bosco’s old label. According to the contract, Bosco is not the director of the company and is receiving nothing.

Furthermore, Beres owns all of Bosco’s recordings and will control them now. While Bosco isn’t able to handle this situation, he also learns that his ex-wife is moving to New York with their daughter.

Bosco picks up his daughter without telling anyone and goes on a run. When he is finally found, he claims that he only intended to say a proper goodbye to his daughter.

The cops have been alerted. The presence of cops brings back Bosco’s memories from prison. He decides to run away from the scene.

Bosco and Vita’s reunion

For a while, Bosco goes missing and stays in hiding, even though the cops have been explained that there was just a misunderstanding.

Vita has grown to become a huge star and has been nominated for the Best Newcomer Award. Honey is having a blast in America.

Bosco eventually makes a comeback by releasing a song independently. While the world celebrates Bosco’s return, Beres and his partners are not pleased, as they want to capitalize on Bosco, who is their label’s artist.

Though Bosco has made himself public again, his friends and family understand that he still needs his space right now.

Meanwhile, Laurent and Vita break up after an argument, and he claims that he won’t allow her to use his music on her award show performance.

Vita is forced to compose a song overnight. She sends it to Bosco too. At the award function, all of Vita’s friends and family show up to support her.

During her performance, Bosco makes a surprise entrance and joins her in the song with the help of Memet.

Bosco’s arrest

Bosco’s return and Vita’s success are celebrated. Vita wins the award, but outside, Beres and people from his label show up.

They have been looking for Bosco for a while now. Bosco fired shots at his own father in his new song.

Bosco is now ready to accept that his son needs mental health support to prove that Bosco was not in his right senses when he wrote that song.

This move will help them protect their image. Hence, Bosco is arrested.
