Angel Dust: Hazbin Hotel character explained

Angel Dust is the first patron of the Hazbin Hotel, although he isn’t too keen on bettering himself. Blake Roman voices the character.

Angel Dust moves into the Hazbin Hotel only because Charlie and Vaggie let him stay there rent-free, as long as he promises to clean up his act.

He’s Hell’s most popular pornstar and has a ravaging drug addiction that stands in the way of his redemption, but Charlie is quite trusting in his potential.

Angel enjoys flirting with Husk the bartender despite him not reciprocating with any kind of interest.

When Sir Pentious shows up at the hotel, Angel feels a little bit of jealousy because Charlie gives the new demon attention and believes that they might change.

Angel distrusts Sir Pentious and uncovers that they’re working with Vox, but this only pushes Charlie’s belief further that he deserves a second chance.

When Vaggie tries to carry out trust-building exercises between everyone at the hotel, Angel and Sir Pentious are constantly arguing.

But it eventually gets through to them as they come out of it with a stronger bond and familiarity among themselves.

The chains that bind him

Angel’s soul is owned by Valentino, one of the influential overlords of Hell.

When he moves into the hotel, he starts ignoring Valentino’s messages and calls for a while, which enrages the overlord.

Angel eventually has to go to work, and when Charlie asks him to stay a little longer he says he has no choice.

Charlie decides to go into Angel’s work and speak to Valentino about getting him out of work early, but she only makes things worse.

Valentino abuses Angel physically and emotionally, and the star isn’t receptive to outside interference.

After getting into an argument with Husk, Angel heads to a bar to get drunk and let loose. Charlie and Vaggie tell Husk to go after him and make sure he’s safe.

Angel Dust is always flirting with Husk, much to the bartender’s distaste

Angel almost gets drugged by some loan sharks, but Husk saves him. Angel says that he pretends to have no care in the world so that he can forget about how bad his life is.

He also puts himself through all kinds of Hell just so that he isn’t Valentino’s favorite anymore and is tossed to the side where he might just be free.
