Turning Point: 9/11 and the War on Terror on Netflix: What exactly happened in Afghanistan

The trailer for the political documentary ‘Turning Point: 9/11 and the War on Terror’ was recently unveiled by Netflix. The documentary provides an in depth look into many of the events involved in the U.S. War in Afghanistan.

The official synopsis reads: “This five-part docuseries from director Brian Knappenberger is a cohesive chronicle of September 11, 2001 attacks on the U.S., offering illuminating perspectives and personal stories of how the catastrophic events of that day changed the course of the nation.”

The trailer includes a wide variety of snippets from interviews with high-ranking officials across all departments interspersed with news clips of the immediate aftermath of 9/11 as well as on-the-ground shots of soldiers in Afghanistan.

Each part will consist for duration of 60 minutes, which will feature the conversations with individuals from both sides of the divide, many who had never spoken on camera before. It will also shine a light on the voices of survivors of the attacks themselves.

The production company behind ‘Turning Point: 9/11 And the War on Terror’ is Luminant Media. The EPs are Knappenberger, Eve Marson, Lowell Bergman. Mohammed Ali Naqvi is co-executive producer. It will be released on September 1.
