Schumacher on Netflix: Documentary celebrates F1 Legend

Netflix has confirmed that a documentary titled ‘Schumacher’ will release on September 15 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the racer’s Formula 1 debut.

The new documentary will be the first one to be made with full support and co-operation from the Schumacher family. The documentary will include rare interviews and never-seen-before footage of the seven-time F1 champion.

The family has always protected its privacy through the racer’s ups and downs, however, the documentary will include them sharing their thoughts and views.

Director Vanessa Nocker stated, “Corinna (wife) herself was our greatest support in this. She herself wanted to make an authentic film, to show Michael as he is, with all his ups and downs, without any sugar-coating.”

It will also feature interviews from Schumacher’s peers and competitors, including FIA president and former Ferrari team principal Jean Todt, Bernie Ecclestone, Sebastian Vettel, Mika Hakkinen and the racer’s manager Sabine Kehm.
