‘The End’ starring Akshay Kumar to have dystopian setting?

Akshay Kumar is the only superstar to have embraced the OTT space before it became a necessity. Amazon Prime Video India announced his digital debut on March 5, 2019. The series is at present referred to by its working title – The End.

Now, more than a year after the initial announcement, there is news on the grapevine about the web series having a dystopian setting. Also that it will be a survival thriller set in the future, in an alternate timeline.

Slated to go into production in 2020, the project was delayed due to the pandemic. Further, the shooting had to be put on hold till the second-half of 2021 due to prior commitments of Akshay Kumar.

According to Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment, the producer of the web series, The End is not a project that can be rolled out in a hurry. The makers are rather utilizing the time to improve the content since the web series is being produced on a never been seen before ‘huge’ scale.

The End team is currently locking on the locales, both in India and abroad, where the web series will be shot. The makers are planning on giving a breathtaking experience to the audience.
