Apple’s ‘Trying’ season 3 to premiere in July

Apple TV+ unveiled the first look and the premiere date for season 3 of the comedy series Trying, which will premiere globally on July 22, 2022, exclusively on Apple TV+.

On May 19, Apple TV+ released the first look of its acclaimed original comedy series Trying, starring Esther Smith and Rafe Spall, along with the global premiere date of July 22, 2022.

The eight-episode third season’s global debut will be followed by a weekly release schedule with new episodes releasing every Friday until September 9, 2022.

For the third season, Esther Smith and Rafe Spall will be joined by Eden Togwell (as Princess), Mickey McAnulty (as Tyler), Oliver Chris (as Freddy), Sian Brooke (as Karen), Darren Boyd (as Scott) and Robyn Cara (as Jen).

The third season picks up with Nikki (Esther Smith) and Jason (Rafe Spall) becoming parents to two children they haven’t known fully yet.

The two parents are put in a whirlwind when they experience the troubles of parenting two children who handle a tougher challenge than what they had thought it would turn out to be. As the two try to strike a balance between their parental responsibilities and personal relationships, it becomes the test of a lifetime for the couple to manage their kids and their sanity.

Trying is created, written and executive produced by Andy Wolton, produced by Sam Pinnell (Motherland), co-produced by Tim Mannion, and executive produced by Jim O’Hanlon (Catastrophe, Marvel’s The Punisher) and Josh Cole with Jim O’ Hanlon also serving as the director. The series is produced by BBC Studios.

The first two seasons of Trying, consisting of eight episodes each, are available to stream on Apple TV+. Season 1 has a 93% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while season 2 holds a 97% approval rating.
