Director brothers Anthony and Joseph Russo announced the launch of a new series on Instagram, called Russo Bros. Pizza Film School.
In their statement announcing the series, they explained that they aim to share some of their favourite classics with people during quarantine. It said:
For the next few weeks we’re going to post a #MovieoftheWeek, the movies that had the greatest influence on us growing up. The movies that made us want to be directors.
Every Friday, they will be suggesting a new movie on their Instagram handle. Then, the following Friday, they would be holding a live session on Instagram, where they would discuss that film with viewers and address their questions regarding the film.
Apart from this, every session would feature special guests. Their first session, which is to be held on 15 May, will feature Pete Hammond, an award-winning film critic and commentator.
Russo Bros. Pizza Film School is an attempt by the duo to entertain their viewers as well as teach a little something to them at a time when people around the world are practicing social distancing.
The Russo Brothers are best known for directing the highest-grossing film of all time, Avengers: Endgame, and its prequel, Avengers: Infinity War.
