In a bid to create original content for its Indian audiences, Discovery+ has announced a slew of India special shows. The line-up includes Mission Frontline, Ladakh Warriors and Secrets of Sinauli.
The shows, featuring critically acclaimed actors like Rana Daggubati, Manoj Bajpayee and Randeep Hooda, will premiere on the OTT platform starting December 9.
In Mission Frontline, Rana Daggubati will be seen slipping into the shoes of a soldier. The show will highlight the life of Military Forces, who fight at the border and risk their lives to keep the country safe.
Daggubati even spent a day with the Border Security Force at Jaisalmer for the show.
Talking about the Discovery+ original, the award-winning actor said: “It gives me immense pleasure to have an opportunity to live a day in the life of BSF Jawans. Having played the role of a soldier before, I can say that the real-life of a soldier is very different from reel life.”
“They are our real heroes and what they do for this country is unimaginable. I thank discovery+ for bringing such a project that will give the people of this country a chance to get a glimpse into the lives of BSF and motivate the youth to serve the country.”
The release date of Mission Frontline is yet to be announced.
