Disney+ Hotstar released the official trailer for its upcoming Tamil language murder mystery movie, Netrikann. The Nayanthara starrer is set to release on the streamer on August 13.
Directed by Milind Rau, Netrikann, a remake of the Korean film Blind, is about the search for a serial killer who is preying on young women in Chennai.
The film witnesses Nayanthara portraying the part of a visually challenged witness in a murder case, after which she resolves to take on the responsibility of catching the perpetrator herself.
The film’s adversary is played by Ajmal Ameer. He meets Nayanthara’s character and, owing to her vision handicap, underestimates her capacity to defend herself.
The trailer depicts a high-stakes conflict between the two protagonists.
Vignesh Shivan’s Rowdy Pictures is producing the film, which also incorporates cinematographer RD Rajasekar and composer Girishh Gopalakrishnan.
