Netflix, Imitiaz Ali and Aaditi Pohankar have announce that ‘She’ season two has begun shooting. The first outing of the 2020 thriller series was well received in the OTT space.
Although the series was confirmed for a new season back in March by Netflix, it has officially started filming on Monday. The creator and co-writer of the series, Imtiaz Ali, announced the news on Instagram with a behind-the-scenes video from the set.
“She’s treading dangerous waters, but be warned: anything she does will definitely stir up a storm. Excited to share that She Season 2 is now filming,” he wrote in the caption.
The crime series follows Bhumika (Aaditi Pohankar) who is a constable in Mumbai Police and her journey as an undercover prostitute to bust a drug ring. Pohankar also took to Instagram to celebrate this news and teased more drama and power for the new season.
“More drama, more intensity, and so much more power. If you think you’re prepared for what Bhumika does next, think again.~ Hold on to your seats, She Season 2 is now filming,” Pohankar captioned the post.
Besides Pohankar, the series also stars Vijay Verma and Kishore. Directed by Arif Ali and Avinash Das, it is also co-written by Imtiaz Ali and Divya Johri.
