Netflix is hoping to start productions for the third season of its original Sex Education in August, as per a report by Deadline.

The web series was all set to start filming this month. However, Netflix announced a halt on all productions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

August will probably me the best possible option for the makers of the series as “the show is reliant on filming during the longer days of British summer, and the sunshine is an important part of its on-screen gloss.”

As per the report, the decision for the season 3 of Sex Education will have to be made next. month. as the show requires “10 weeks of prep time”.

Earlier this year, Netflix announced that there will be a season 3 for the series with a quirky teaser:

Sex Education revolves around Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) – a teenager who is trying to get by high school with a mother Jean (Gillian Anderson) who is a sex therapist and with a little support from his best friend Eric Effiong (Ncuti Gatwa).

Amidst the chaos, Otis is approached by Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey) to start a ‘sex clinic’ in school where Otis would be in-charge of providing sex-related advice to his fellow batch mates for money.

The dramedy takes some twists and turns after the ‘clinic’ starts in full swing.
