‘Mythic Quest’ renewed for 2 more seasons by Apple TV+

Apple TV+ has agreed to renew the comedy series for an additional 2 seasons, with the announcement being made by series co-creator Rob McElhenney.

The video sees McElhenney getting on a facetime call with Sir Anthony Hopkins to break the good news. Hopkins received an Emmy nomination for his guest role as a narrator in the ‘Mythic Quest’ special, ‘Everlight’. The video also features a cameo by ‘Ted Lasso’ actor Jason Sudeikis.

‘Mythic Quest’ follows the video game design company behind a fictional multiplayer video game, ‘Mythic Quest’, as they strive to maintain their top-dog status amidst a multitude of issues that plague its employees. Alongside McElhenney, the series was co-created by Charlie Day and Megan Ganz.

Speaking about Mythic Quest, head of programming for Apple TV+, Matt Cherniss stated: “Just like critics and audiences all over the world, we fell in love with Rob and his team’s sharp writing and full-of-heart, relatable characters that make up the world of Mythic Quest.”

The cast of Mythic Quest includes stars such as  F. Murray Abraham, Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim, Charlotte Nicdao, Ashly Burch, Jessie Ennis and David Hornsby. Hornsby also serves as executive producer along with McElhenney, Day and Ganz.

Also Serving as executive producers are Michael Rotenberg and Nicholas Frenkel on behalf of 3Arts and Jason Altman, Danielle Kreinik and Gérard Guillemot for Ubisoft Film & Television.
